Up for an 8.30 breakfast and then a short walk to get our ski passes. Unfortunately there were quite a few other people doing the same, so there was a bit of a queue.
By 10.30 though we were back at the hotel and putting on our skis. Not going to lie, I was feeling a tad nervous having not skied for 6 years.
The weather was fab, sun out and bright blue skies, temperature a bit under zero just perfect conditions.
After 2 hours skiing we had taken 5 chairlifts and 1 drag lift and completed 4 ski runs, clocking up just under 8 miles.
The slopes were unreal, there is hardly anyone around and for those few lifts only a handful of people queuing if anyone at all.
We headed back to the bottom of the slope by our hotel and had some refreshments, chips and a cake whilst sitting in the sun before heading off for the afternoon session.
We took another 3 chairlifts and skied 3 more runs, a further 5 miles, so 13 miles for our first day (we thought we’d take it easy for the first day!).
We popped into the bar for a drink (yes I broke my not drinking alcohol) before heading back to the room to shower, change and have a read before dinner.
Dave realised Arsenal were playing on the TV in the bar so he headed down early to watch them win 5-1 against Man City.
Dinner was in the hotel tonight, perfect timing once the footie had finished.
After a very nice meal of duck and venison (sorry Fizz) we went back to our room to plan our ski for tomorrow.

Is that hot choccy
Sure is. Better one on day 3.
Looks really lovely. I would loved to have done more years ago but Rob doesn’t like snow only sand
Well done
I didn’t realize you skied Joan. Want to come with us next year🤣
