After a slightly later start but after my standard breakfast of 1 croissant followed by 2 boiled eggs (perfected at 6.5 mins for runny) we were on the slope at 10.00am. This being a ski in, ski out hotel the lift was literally 1 minute from the boot room.
Today’s plan was to go over to Termignon, the third village along the valley. We got 2 chairlifts back to back before warming up on the lower slopes of Termignon. We skied to the village which sits at 1300m, the snow was less thick here and probably was artificial.
We then took a further 2 chairlifts up, followed by another very long drag lift to the peaks here at 2465 metres. Wow, the views here were vast and spectacular. We started off with a very scenic blue run which actually borders Italy and then had to ascend a further two times to do a couple of reds.
With legs beginning to ache we stopped at the mountain restaurant for a snack before the afternoon session.
We took the drag lift up to the peak 3 more times to complete the remaining red runs before heading back to our village. With a little life still left in my legs we decided to do one final run in our village to end the day. Our tally, a further 20 miles.
Back in the hotel we had a hot chocolate in the bar before showering.
We had dinner booked at 7 at the restaurant we went to on our first night as it looked the best for one of my favorite dishes, Raclette.
Well the Raclette well and truly beat us. Feeling suitably stuffed we walked a slightly longer route back in a small attempt to burn a few extra calories.
Then it was straight to bed for me and yes it was only 9.30!

Mmmm the hot choccies look yummy
