With a late check out time of 12.00, we took full advantage and had a lay in till 10! I finished my second book and Dave is over half way on his. With no breakfast booked we showered and checked out, leaving the luggage there and went for a wander.
First around a little hilly park and then into town, after an hour we eventually found a cafe open and had yet another hot chocolate but with a croque monsieur this time.
You maybe wondering why we are still in France. The reason being on Mondays to Saturdays the only flight from Chambrey to London City is mid morning, so with the transfer times yesterday we would not have made it to the airport on time. But on a Sunday the flight is not until 6.00pm so we had plenty of time to kill.
With another little walk we headed back to the hotel to have a little chill. We managed to grab a drink from the bar and had a few games of Jaipur.
Just after 3, we grabbed our cases and set off for the short walk to the train station where we hoped we would grab a cab to the airport. Luckily there was a whole row of them so just before 4, the cases were checked in and we were through security and just waiting for the flight.
Leaving around 6, it was only 90 mins until we landed at City Airport after a fairly smooth flight.
We had a little wait for one of the bags but then the advantage of flying from City is that it’s a quick walk to the car park and we were on our way home grabbing a customary takeaway en route for dinner!
